About this deal

Find three Disney songs you know your family loves. I love using Disneyland Songs played in the park. Zip A Dee Do Dah, It’s a Small World, and A Pirate’s Life for Me always queue my son to Disneyland!

The whole town of Val d’Europe is relatively new, having been masterplanned in conjunction with Disney. It has a Celebration/suburbia vibe to it, but with traditional French stylization. While it doesn’t have the same historical allure of the quaint villages in France, it has its own modern charm and is not too cookie cutter. All of this is to say that the hotels of Val d’Europe are probably solid options if you don’t want to pay the insane prices of Disneyland Paris hotels. First, a bit of a primer about Disneyland Paris. Located in Marne-la-Vallée, which is actually a suburb of Paris, Disneyland Paris is about 45 minutes from the city center by train–and significantly closer to Charles de Gaulle Airport. The entire resort consists of 7 official Disney-themed hotels, several partner hotels, the Disney Village entertainment and shopping district, and the two parks: Parc Disneyland and the Walt Disney Studios Park. Overall, there’s a lot on the horizon for Walt Disney Studios Park and Disneyland Paris. In the near future, there’s a slew of seasonal events intended to tide guests over until the big things start debuting between now and 2025. As noted above, (parts of) Avengers Campus will be first to debut, and that’s expected to be followed by the Frozen Land, and finally, a version of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. It’ll be interesting to watch Disney’s resort complex in France continue to grow and evolve, and we’re excited about its future! Paris has a pretty comprehensive train and metro system that allows locals and tourists to travel conveniently to various destinations by public transport. The RER is slightly different from the Paris Metro as it links Paris with other destinations rather than inside Paris city centre. If you want to avoid disappointment, we’d recommend approaching dining at Disneyland Paris from the perspective of experiencing restaurants with cool themes. Our Top 10 Themed Restaurants at Disneyland Paris post should help with this. While we love Disney–and Disneyland Paris–many of these other real-world locations have been the highlights of our trips. Europe is full of amazing places that leave an indelible mark on a person. There’s so much beyond the parks at Disneyland Paris, and truly something for everyone. From history to modern culture to shady red light districts (because we’re so sure Disney fans are into that sort of thing! 😉 ), there’s truly something for everyone. Not surprisingly, we found that Disneyland Paris does a lot of things in a slightly different way. However, one detail remains a constant across all the parks, Disneyland Paris included: Guests who pre-plan, know what to expect and understand the rules will surely have a magical vacation. Disneyland Paris basics

Rosalie, the new two-floor restaurant will feature 500 seats in contemporary interiors. Inspired by Parisian brasseries, it will celebrate renowned French “Art de Vivre” and classic cuisine in a modern yet elegant setting, with expanded terraces looking over Lake Disney. In addition to table service, a counter will offer French bakery-inspired options for take away like viennoiseries, pastries, sandwiches and salads, as well as a selection of products satisfying every taste and level of service. Reimagined Resorts Avengers Campus (Now Open) –Walt Disney Studios Park is home to a new Marvel-themed area called Avengers Campus, which differs slightly from the versions in Hong Kong and California. Avengers Campus is now open at Walt Disney Studios Park. While this isn’t our preferred route for the resort’s reimagining, the underlying Art Deco style looks nice, and the artwork appears tastefully integrated into the design. Plus, the previous “Big Apple” incarnation of Hotel New York was woefully dated and tired, and it desperately needed something. Given the shortcomings of these hotels, you may find it hard to stomach spending hundreds of dollars on a room that's officially on property. So, if you're on a tighter budget, you may be better served by staying off-property, especially if you wouldn't use the early entry benefit. Bottom line

Disney Trip Reveal for Kids

With so many other can't-miss attractions in the City of Light, it's understandably hard to justify spending too many days at a theme park. So, a lot of travelers visit Disneyland Paris as a day trip from the city, as it's only about a 40-minute train ride away from the city center. The reimagined Disney Village will celebrate timeless, family-friendly environments that are uniquely Disney. By day, stylish boutiques and innovative restaurants will draw guests in. By night, thousands of lights will transform the area into a bustling wonderland. When the transformation is complete, Disney Village will feature a relaxing lakeside park and boardwalk, enhanced pedestrian walkways, brand-new facades, relaxing terraces and patios, and lush landscaping. Its diverse eateries and collection of shops will expand dining and retail options for guests with innovative concepts from some of the world’s most exciting brands. We’re wrapping up our own Disney trip, and we’ve had so much fun surprising our boys and building up anticipation! We’ve found that most people visit Disneyland Paris for 2 days, and if that’s your plan, our 1-Day Disneyland Paris Park Itinerary and 1-Day Walt Disney Studios Park Itinerary provide step-by-step touring plans for “perfect” days in each of the parks. If you have 3 days or more, simply explore at a leisurely pace in those additional days. This redevelopment of Walt Disney Studios Park will roll out in phases leading up to the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics. The first component to open was Avengers Campus, which debuted last summer. The Kingdom of Arendelle is up next after that, and is likely to open in 2024. (It’s unclear whether Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will still be built as part of the Walt Disney Studios Park expansion, but our guess is that it will not.)

During Frozen: A Musical Invitation, guests interact with their favorite characters over multiple stages. In the first room, guests sing and learn to dance with Anna, Kristoff, and Sven. In the second room, guests will step into the ice palace and sing in unison the key song Let It Go with Elsa. Add balloons to a large box, and let them float up with a sign announcing “Surprise! We’re going to Disneyland!” February half term is one of the cheapest times to visit during the School Holidays. During this holiday period you can expect to see lower crowd levels due to the colder weather and that many families within France and Europe tend to go skiing during this school holiday. In February you can expect the park to close earlier at around 7pm or 8pm, which is also great for children’s bedtime routines and allows them to watch the amazing night-time castle shows and fireworks! Before we get started, it’s worth noting that this post only covers new and changing things at Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney Studios Park. If you want something comprehensive, consult our 2023-2024 Disneyland Paris Vacation Planning Guide. That’s over 6,000 words offering a crash course in the basics of trip prep, including everything from getting around Paris to food to touring strategy and so much more! Families Assemble at the outdoor Hero Training Zone, and train like an avenger! This outdoor 420m2 multisport field inspired by the look and feel of New York and Marvel Super Heroes will provide dedicated areas for for the whole family including activities such as basketball, fitness and yoga.

Turning to what’s on the horizon in the coming months, the Disneyland Paris 30th Anniversary just concluded its multi-year run. This celebration was a huge success, and should serve as the blueprint for future bashes at not just Disneyland Paris, but other parks around the globe. If you’re not driving to Disneyland Paris, but still want that budget friendly option, then choose Santa Fe. When it comes to Europe as a whole, you should visit for as many days as you can. The reality of things is that vacation time is finite, and travel is costly, so most people probably are looking at maybe a week or so on the vacation. My strong advice would be to try and stretch the trip to at least 10 days even if that requires saving money and vacation time a bit longer. The strikes and demonstrations began as a method of bringing Disneyland Paris to the negotiating table ahead of scheduled meetings in August. This is part of a process known as Négociation Annuelle Obligatoire (NAO), during which businesses renegotiate salaries and union contract terms in France. Disney rebuffed this, indicating that the company would meet with the union consistent with the normal schedule, which caused a predictable escalation in the demonstrations.

Where to Stay

This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, as portion sizes are large and prices are not out of line (by normal Disney standards). In addition, the design of many of these restaurants is truly impressive. Toad Hall features more detail than all of Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride at Disneyland, and serves some pretty good fish & chips, too. That's not to say that the customer service in Disneyland Paris is poor. We found most cast members quite courteous and even had a couple of magical moments with a select few. We were also impressed by the fact that every cast member we encountered spoke English, which we found helpful since none of us speak French. Kingdom of Arendelle (Likely Coming in 2025) –The Frozen fun continues in the coming years with a new themed area dedicated to this beloved story, which is part of the multi-year expansion of the Walt Disney Studios Park. I think an aesthetic similar to Pixar Studio in Hollywood Studios would help Toon Studio as it would be the perfect entrance to Worlds of Pixar, they don’t need to add rides, just change the architecture aesthetic, although a Monster Inc Door Coaster would be a great addition ! The hotel is inspired by a New York art gallery, paying tribute to the city that is home to many iconic Marvel characters and the artists who created them. When Disney’s Hotel New York — The Art of Marvel reopens next summer, it will be the first hotel dedicated entirely to the celebration of Marvel art, with one of the largest publicly viewable collections of Marvel artwork in the world.
