Vampire Knight began as a shojo manga serialized in Hakusensha's LaLa magazine on November 24, 2004. The original manga series ended in May 2013, and a sequel Vampire Knight: Memories is currently being published in LaLa DX. In 2008, it had a two-season anime adaptation, with the second season titled Vampire Knight: Guilty. In 2015, it had a musical adaptation, with the second run titled Vampire Knight - Revive. The series has also produced several drama CDs, light novels, and a video game. The original manga was serialized in LaLa magazine from November 2004 to May 2013. It ran for 93 chapters collected into 19 volumes, published by Hakusensha under their Hana to Yume label. The chapters were later re-released in a 10-volume collection under their Hakusensha Bunko label.
